What are Pricing Overrides?
A pricing override charges a different price, or a different tax rate, for an item at some locations. The item's usual price stays in place everywhere else.
Overriding Prices
A price override charges a different price for that item at the locations you choose.
Overriding Taxes
A tax override charges a different tax rate for that item at the locations you choose. Use this when the item is taxed differently in that locality.
A category can have a tax override too. Open the three dots on the category and select Override. That dialog offers Tax only.
How To Apply a Pricing Override
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Select applicable locations | The locations that should use this override. |
| Override Type | Price or Tax. |
| Price override Value | The price those locations charge, when the type is Price. |
| Tax override Value | The tax rate those locations charge, when the type is Tax. |
A location can have one price override and one tax override. It cannot have two price overrides, or two tax overrides.
To change an override, select the three dots beside it and choose Edit. To remove it, choose Delete. Then click Submit again.
