Load preset dollar amounts onto a customer's TapMango wallet from the register by combining point-of-sale items, TapMango products, and campaigns.
There is no direct wallet-load feature in any TapMango point-of-sale integration. This workaround uses TapMango products and campaigns to load preset dollar amounts.
Overview
This method has three parts:
- Create items in your point of sale that represent set dollar amounts, such as $5, $10, and $15.
- Create the matching products in TapMango and map them to those point-of-sale items.
- Create campaigns that run when those items are purchased and add the matching funds to the customer's TapMango wallet.
1. Create items in your POS that represent dollar amounts for wallet loads
Create preset dollar amounts as items in your register.
The clicks differ by point of sale. The goal is the same: create items that represent dollar values a customer can load onto their TapMango wallet.
Create as many as you want. Name them so they are clearly for the TapMango wallet.
For example: $5 Wallet Load, $10 Wallet Load, $15 Wallet Load, $20 Wallet Load.
2. Create corresponding products in TapMango Portal and map them to the items in your POS
After the items exist in your point of sale, create the matching products in TapMango and map them to those items.
Category is optional. Use it when you want the wallet-load products grouped together.
Product Name should match the item name in your point of sale so you can identify it.
Do not award points for paying for a wallet load.
Each point-of-sale integration has its own mapping rules. Some match by item ID, some by SKU, and some by name. Use Integration Specific Product Mapping for your integration.
3. Create campaigns to load money on to TapMango wallets when customers pay for wallet loads
After the wallet-load items exist in the point of sale and the matching products exist in Portal, create a campaign that adds funds when a customer purchases one of those amounts.
Create a separate campaign for each wallet-load amount.
Restrictions
Only preset amounts can be loaded. If a customer wants to load $38 and you only created wallet-load products in $5 increments, such as $5, $10, $15, and $20, they cannot load that exact amount from the point of sale.
If the customer needs an amount that is not preset, load the wallet funds manually on the TapMango tablet.
