A Quick Campaign sends one announcement, in-store voucher, or Instant Deal to the customers you choose.
Start the campaign
Campaign name and type
Enter a Campaign Name. This identifies the campaign internally. Customers cannot see it.
Choose one of three campaign types.
| Campaign type | What it sends |
|---|---|
| Announcement | An SMS, email, or push notification without a voucher. Use it to announce something to your customers. |
| In-Store Voucher/Coupon Promotion | An SMS, email, or push notification with a voucher. Select a voucher from the dropdown, or create a new one. |
| Promote Instant Deal | An SMS, email, or push notification with an Instant Deal. Select an Instant Deal from the dropdown, or create a new one. |
When you have selected a campaign type and, if it applies, a voucher or Instant Deal, click Continue.
Recipients
Select who receives the Quick Campaign by location, customer group, or both. Learn how to create customer groups in How do I create Customer Groups?.
A preview shows the total number of customers the Quick Campaign can reach. These numbers are the customers who consent to receive each type of communication, based on the locations or customer groups you selected.
All customers consent to receive SMS and email during registration, in store or online, and can revoke that consent at any time.
When you have selected the locations and customer groups, click Continue.
How to send
Send the Quick Campaign as SMS, MMS, push notification, or email. You can select one communication type, up to a maximum of three. The first method you choose takes priority over the second and third. Each customer receives one type of communication per Quick Campaign.
When you have selected how to send and the priority, click Continue.
Message
Create the SMS, MMS, email, and push notification in this section. The Quick Campaign creator asks for the email first, then SMS or MMS, then the push notification, regardless of the priority you chose.
On the email, SMS, MMS, and push notification message boxes, click TapMango AI to improve the text you entered. See Boost Your Promotions with TapMango AI.
Generic template
Generic templates use a logo saved under Device Creatives as an Email Logo or Tablet Logo.
Custom template
Selecting a template opens the email template editor. Click Save and Exit to return to the Quick Campaign creator and save the template to the Quick Campaign.
Test the email
The subject line of a test email always states that it is a test. Customers see the subject line you saved earlier.
When you are happy with the email, continue to the next communication if you selected SMS, MMS, or a push notification.
SMS
Notes about SMS
- One SMS message, or segment, has a limit of 129 characters. If you go over 129 characters, the message counts as more than one SMS per customer. Quick Campaigns allow a maximum of 3 segments. Contact support or your account manager to increase the segment limit.
- A character count appears at the bottom of the text box as you type.
- Emoji count as more than one character, and they cause every character in the message to count as two instead of one.
- "To unsub txt STOP" is added to the end of every SMS campaign. It does not count toward the 129-character limit.
MMS
A multimedia message (MMS) is a text message that contains an image. MMS is an option when SMS marketing guidelines restrict the items you can market, such as cannabis, tobacco, or CBD.
For the send steps, use Picture Messaging (MMS).
After an image is added, click Send Test MMS, enter a phone number, then click Send Test.
Notes about MMS
- MMS is an add-on with separate pricing from SMS, and it is not enabled automatically. Contact your account manager or support to turn it on.
- You can upload one image. An SMS can be sent with the MMS to include further details, when the account allows it.
Push notification
Push notifications appear in the mobile app for customers who have it installed.
Notes about push notifications
- Push notifications are part of the TapMango branded app. They are a separate add-on and are not enabled automatically. Contact your account manager or support to turn them on.
- Push notifications are unlimited.
- A test does not appear in the Notifications tab in the mobile app. It only shows the push notification.
- Push notifications are text only. For in-app promotions with images and text, see Promotion Badges.
- Push notifications go only to customers who have your branded app installed and push notifications enabled. A customer can have push enabled in the app while their phone settings block it.
When to send
After the messages are created, schedule the release. You can send immediately or later.
