Promote a membership after you create it, and use portal statuses to see whether it is available and whether a customer’s billing is current.
Promoting your membership
Once your membership has been created, promote it to customers.
Campaign
Send a text, email, or push notification that memberships are available. Include how customers can sign up. You can include a link to download the app or the memberships URL. See How to Send a Quick Campaign.
- Memberships are now available at [[COMPANY_NAME]]! Download our app to see what we're offering! [App Download Link].
- [[COMPANY_NAME]] is introducing MEMBERSHIPS!! Download our app to sign up or click this link: [Membership Link].
In-store
Create posters and table flyers that tell customers about the membership plan. You can include a QR code to the app or to the membership webpage. TapMango can help with a poster. Tell your account manager or TapMango Support that you would like one.
Social media
On Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and similar channels, pin direct links to your app and membership website so customers can get there easily.
Where can I find links to the membership and the app?
Click the Promote button at the top of the portal to copy the direct link and share it by social media or campaigns.
If your account has the branded mobile app, memberships are promoted on the Home tab. Customers can click See Membership to view the benefits and cost before purchasing, or browse the other memberships you have available.
Membership statuses
These statuses show whether a membership is available. Find them under Memberships → Manage Memberships.
- ACTIVE — The membership is live, and customers can see it in the URL and the app and purchase it.
- ACTIVE HIDDEN — The membership is live but not available for purchase. Customers who already purchased it continue to auto-renew.
- SUNSETTED — You have chosen to end the membership. Customers already in it keep access to their benefits until the end of their billing cycle.
Customer statuses
These statuses show a customer’s standing in a membership. Find them under Memberships → Members.
- ACTIVE — The customer’s last billing for the membership went through.
- SUSPENDED — The customer’s last billing did not go through. They have one week to update their payment profile.
- Canceled — The customer cancelled the membership, or the membership was suspended and they never updated their payment profile. A customer who cancels can use their benefits until the end of their billing cycle.
- Ended — This status applies only after the billing cycle ends. The customer is no longer in the membership.
