Payment System Integration - How do I setup a Stripe Account?

Set up a Stripe account so TapMango can securely take payments for Instant Deals and online ordering.

Getting started

Go to Stripe’s website and create your account. Check your email to confirm the account, then sign in.

Turn on Live mode

Stripe has two modes, Test and Live. In Test mode, credit card transactions are fake. In Live mode, transactions are real.

You start in Test mode. Switch to Live mode with the toggle at the top right of the page.

To switch to Live mode, activate your account by clicking Activate Account on the banner. Complete the application form. The account becomes active once that form is complete. Stripe requires personal information to verify who you are, including banking information so Stripe can deposit money into your bank account.

Send us the API keys

You can find your API keys under Developers → API Keys.

These keys let TapMango charge your customers on your behalf through Instant Deal or online ordering.

The example above shows Test mode API keys. Live mode API keys are prefixed with live_. A publishable key looks like pk_live_ and a secret key looks like sk_live_.

Support will configure your TapMango account with these keys and reply with a confirmation when finished.

After Support confirms your Stripe API keys are on the account, you can start accepting payments.
